About
The Impossible Whopper from Burger King — a plant-based twist on the classic Whopper. Made with a juicy Impossible™ patty, it’s topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mayo on a soft sesame bun. Perfect for vegans or anyone looking for that flame-grilled Whopper flavor without beef.
FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE PATTY:
• 1 Impossible™ burger patty (or other plant-based beef substitute)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
FOR THE SAUCE:
• 1 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
• 1 tsp ketchup
• pinch of black pepper
FOR ASSEMBLY:
• 2 sesame seed burger buns, toasted
• 1–2 slices tomato
• 1/2 cup (20g) shredded iceberg lettuce
• 3–4 dill pickle slices
• 2–3 rings raw onion
Recipe
- 1Season the Impossible patty with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2Cook the patty. Grill or pan-fry over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through with slight grill marks.
- 3Toast the buns lightly until golden.
- 4Prepare the sauce by mixing vegan mayonnaise, ketchup, and a pinch of black pepper until smooth.
- 5Assemble the Impossible Whopper from bottom to top: bottom bun with sauce, shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, onion rings, cooked Impossible patty, extra sauce if desired, then the top bun. Serve immediately while warm.
