Are these recipes free?
All of them, permanently. Every recipe on this site shows the full ingredient list and every step without a paywall, a login wall, or an email form in the way. The site costs money to run and that is covered by ads and, eventually, the shop — not by charging you for a burger recipe.
What is a copycat recipe?
A copycat recreates a restaurant item at home from scratch — the Big Mac, the Zinger, the Quarter Pounder. It is not the official recipe and it is not affiliated with the chain. It is my best reconstruction after cooking it repeatedly and comparing side by side with the real thing.
Do I need an account?
Not to read anything. An account only unlocks four things: saving recipes to a list, voting on a burger with the community slider, keeping your pantry ingredients between visits, and syncing all of that with the iOS app. Browsing, cooking and printing need nothing at all.
Can I filter by ingredients I already have?
Yes, and it is being expanded. On the home page you can tap a few common ingredients and see what they add up to. The full version, where you tick off everything in your fridge and the menu ranks recipes by how little you are missing, is the next thing landing on the site.
Where do the ratings come from?
The star rating is mine, given after cooking the recipe myself. The diamond rating is the average of votes from signed-in readers and I never adjust it. Both are shown on every recipe, and when they disagree the recipe page shows the vote count so you can judge how solid the average is.
Is there an app?
There is an iOS app on the App Store with the same recipe library, offline access, and a shared account so your saved burgers and votes follow you between phone and browser. An Android version is planned but has no date yet.
Can I submit my own burger?
Send it over. There is no public submission form yet, but genuinely good builds have made it onto the channel before. Email the recipe with a photo and, if you have one, a note about where it came from — regional and family recipes get priority over restaurant clones.
How do I contact you for a collaboration?
Use the contact page or write to info@burgerman.org. Sponsorships, product seeding and press all go to the same inbox; say which one it is in the subject line. Audience numbers and formats for brands live on the partners page.
